Who Should Join Grassroots Grantmakers? Funders who are working to strengthen resident-led organizations and their leaders in urban neighborhoods or rural communities, and are interested in supporting social change at the grassroots. Our growing network welcomes community foundations, private foundations, family foundations, corporate funders, local governments, and other private and public grantmakers.
We also invite non-grantmaking entities who work directly with resident-led grassroots organizations - technical assistance providers, for example - to join us as "Friends". What Does It Cost? Contributing memberships in Grassroots Grantmakers are renewable on an annual basis. Membership contributions range from $500 to $20,000, with $500 as the entry threshold for membership. Organizations that contribute $5,000 or more are invited to recognize others working in concert in their own community as a Grassroots Grantmakers Cluster . Individuals who are not associated with a grantmaking entity but who support the values of grassroots grantmaking are invited to join the network as a Friend with a contribution of $100. We recognize that member contributions will vary depending on organizational resources. How Does an Organization Join Grassroots Grantmakers?
